Bar4fun is a virtual online bar where you can meet, chat,
buy online drinks & e-mail whoever takes your fancy.
Nothing! We do not charge any weekly, monthly or annual subscription
at all. You only pay money if you choose to buy a Bar4fun "online
drink" for another Bar4fun User (see below for details).
Notice someone special at the bar or you’re already enjoying
their company, then what could be better than buying them
an exclusive Bar4fun online drink? Bar4fun drinks are online “virtual” drinks
because, of course, the Bar4fun User you choose to buy it
for does not actually receive a drink itself, instead they
get the value of the drink, (less Barman's Tip & VAT)
which will be credited to their Bar4fun Account.
First you will need to open a Bar4fun Account (see below).
Then, whenever you are chatting to another User or looking
at another User's Bar4fun profile you can click on the "Buy
Drink" icon. You will then be asked whether you want
to buy a "drink2chat" or a "drink4gift" (see
below for explanation and details) & what type of drink
you want to buy. You can choose a virtual drink from our
up to the minute Bar Menu (link). You cannot buy a drink
unless you have sufficient credit! For more information on
adding credit to your Bar4fun account please refer to section
3.3 of the FAQ’s.
A drink2chat can be bought for any other Bar4fun User that
is online at that time. If a Bar4fun User chooses to accept
a drink2chat from another Bar4fun User, then the receiver
is promising to communicate privately with the buyer in the
instant message box for a minimum of 5 minutes. After 5 minutes
has elapsed, the value of the drink (less Barman’s Tip & VAT)
will be credited to the receiving Bar4fun User's Bar4fun
Account.
• How is the conversation timed?
Bar4fun has an internal timer that starts the moment the
Bar4fun User who is being bought a drink2chat clicks "Accept" and
the buying Bar4fun User is simultaneously informed that the
drink2chat has been accepted.
After exactly 5 minutes has elapsed (and provided the receiving
Bar4fun User has not closed their dialogue box during this
time – see below), the drink is credited to the receiving
Bar4fun User's Bar4fun Account. Both Bar4fun members will
be informed that 5 minutes has elapsed. Bar4fun does not
show a timer during the conversation - it’s a little more
respectful!
• What happens if the receiving Bar4fun User of a drink2chat closes the instant
message window within the 5 mins time period?
Bar4fun ensures that the receiver of a drink2chat must keep
their instant message box open to communicate with the buyer
for a minimum of 5 minutes in order to receive that drink’s
value (less Barman’s tip + VAT). If they close it within
the 5 minute period (for any reason whatsoever), then the
purchaser of the drink is immediately refunded in full (including
Barman’s Tip and VAT) and the receiving Bar4fun User does
not receive anything.
• What assurances do I have about the quality of the chat I get in return for
a drink2chat?
Bar4fun respects the privacy of drink2chat conversations
between Bar4fun Users. We do not monitor these and therefore
it is not possible to determine the content of any potential
online conversation. We can only ensure that, technically,
the receiving Bar4fun User’s instant message box is not closed
during the allocated time. This is a risk that you, as the
purchaser of a drink2chat takes. We do not and cannot accept
responsibility for any disappointment arising from the response
or non-response of the receiving Bar4fun User.
Warning: If Bar4fun becomes aware of any users who abuse
the functionality of a drink2chat then Bar4fun Users may
face being barred!
If you want to make a complaint about another Bar4fun User
then please use the contact us section in My bar where your
complaint will be dealt with as quickly as possible.
• What if my drink2chat is declined?
If a Bar4fun User declines your drink2chat, you will be notified
of this in your "Drink status" and refunded in
full (including Barman’s Tip and VAT) to your Bar4fun Account.
• Can I cancel my drink2chat before it has been accepted or declined?
From the moment you buy a drink2chat you will have the chance
to cancel by clicking the "Cancel" link on the
confirmation of drink2chat purchase pop up when displayed
or by clicking "Cancel" when displayed in the instant
message box. A pending drink2chat can also ALWAYS be cancelled
by clicking on the "Cancel" link in "Drink
status" located in "My bar". A drink2chat
can only be cancelled before the drink is accepted or declined
by the receiving Bar4fun User. The other Bar4fun User may
be away from their computer, talking on their mobile and
just didn’t see your drink2chat request! So, if you cannot
wait any more then you must cancel your drink2chat and you
will be refunded in full! If you log out from Bar4fun
before your drink2chat is accepted or declined and did not
press "Cancel" then no drink2chat transaction will
take place and you will also be refunded in full.
It is your responsibility to make sure that you cancel your
pending drink2chat if it has not yet been accepted or declined
and you cannot wait any further. If you leave a drink2chat
pending you run the risk of yourdrink2chat being accepted
while you are unaware . To be sure always check your "Drink
status" located within "My bar".
• What if I close the instant message box within the 5 mins allocated chat time
and I bought the drink2chat?
If you close the instant message box within the accepted
5 minute chat period and you bought the drink2chat then you
will not be refunded. So long as the receiving User keeps
their instant message box open for 5 minutes after they accepted
the drink then they will be credited, even if you have left
the conversation. Its not their fault that you left!
• Does a more expensive drink mean a longer chat time?
No. All drink2chats are for 5 minutes.
A drink4gift can be bought for any other Bar4fun User regardless
of whether or not they are online at the time. A drink4gift
is just that: a gift with no strings attached or any obligation
to chat. When the drink4gift is accepted, then the receiver’s
Bar4fun Account will automatically be credited with the value
of the drink (less tip and VAT).
• How do I know if I have received a drink4gift and how do I accept it?
If you have been bought a drink4gift whilst you were offline,
then you will be notified of this when you next log on to
Bar4fun. At all other times you can go to “My Bar” in the
bottle and click on “Drink status”. All new drink4gifts bought
for you will be displayed there and await your acceptance.
In some instances you may have to click refresh in your browser
to update your drink4gifts.
All you need to do is to click on "Accept" if you
want to accept the drink and "Decline" if you do
not – simple!
If you do not accept a drink4gift within 45 days, then the
drink4gift will be refunded in full to the buyer's Bar4fun
Account.
• If I buy a drink4gift for a Bar4fun User who is offline, will they know who
it’s from?
Yes. Once the receiver next logs on at Bar4fun they will
be notified that they have been bought a new drink4gift.
They will then be given the choice to accept or decline the
drink2gift from the buyer. They will also be able to see
the senders profile and their Bar4fun contact details to
say thank you!
• What if my offer of a drink4gift is declined?
If your drink4gift is declined, you will be refunded in full
(including Barman's Tip and VAT) immediately to your Bar4fun
Account. Bar4fun Users have 45 days in which to accept a
drink4gift. If they fail to do so, then these drinks will
be deemed to have been declined and will be refunded to your
Bar4fun Account.
Bar4fun has an up2date Drinks Menu for everyone’s flavour!
All prices listed in the Drinks Menu include the Barman’s
Tip and VAT. The receiver therefore gets the drink less the
Barman’s Tip and VAT. To see our latest menu and prices click

To keep Bar4fun open and serving for you 24hrs a day we charge
a nominal tip when drinks are bought for other Bar4fun Users
(just like a tip to the Barman!). Instead of charging you
a membership fee which nobody likes we take a tip when you
buy someone you want a Bar4fun drink. If you like Bar4fun,
then please support us and buy that special someone a drink,
that way you can help us to become the biggest bar in the
world without charging you a membership fee!
The Barman’s Tip is 20%+ VAT of the drinks value. So, for
example, if you buy another Bar4fun User a glass of wine
for £2, the receiving Bar4fun User will be credited £1.53.
Once you have clicked on "Submit" to purchase a
Bar4fun drink (whether either a drink2chat or a drink4gift)
your Bar4fun Account will be automatically debited.
• Drink4gift
Your Bar4fun Account will be credited automatically when
you have clicked "Accept" to accept a drink4gift.
• Drink2chat
Your Bar4fun Account will be credited automatically after
the allocated 5mins of communication has elapsed where you
have accepted a drink2chat and not closed your instant messenger
window within that time period. Please refresh your browser
after the 5 minute communication time if you do not see your
Bar4fun account being updated.
• Drink4gift
A Bar4fun drink4gift transaction is a service that commences
the moment that you click "Submit" to purchase
a drink for another Bar4fun User. This means that you will
not be able to make any cancellation or to obtain a refund
in relation to such transaction once you have clicked "Submit" for
any reason whatsoever.
• Drink2chat
The only time you can cancel a transaction that you have
purchased is before a drink2chat has been accepted or declined
by the receiver (see above). It is important therefore that
you check all details before pressing "Submit".
You can go back and change your order at any time up until
the point at which you press "Submit", but not
after this point.
From the moment you buy a drink2chat
you will have the chance to cancel by clicking
the "Cancel" link on the confirmation
of drink2chat purchase pop up or when displayed
in the instant message box. A pending drink2chat
can also ALWAYS be cancelled by clicking on the "Cancel" link
in "Drink status" located in "My
bar".
You don’t have to buy any drinks if you don’t want to although
buying a drink may just help in meeting that special someone…..
No. You don't have to register with Bar4fun but, without
doing so, you will only be able to browse the Bar4fun site
and you won't be able to email, chat, buy or receive Bar4fun
drinks.
When you register with Bar4fun, a Bar4fun Account is automatically
opened for you. You can register at any time by clicking
on the “Join the Bar” link on the Bar4fun Home Page.
Go to “My Credit” in the bottle on the Bar4fun Home Page
and follow the online instructions to make a deposit to your
Bar4fun Account. All payments are processed by a third party
payment provider, Worldpay. Once your transaction has been
confirmed your Bar4fun account will automatically be topped
up.
Charges are made on payments into your Bar4fun as follows:
• Deposit of £2.00: 50 pence commission charge
• Deposit of £5.00: 25 pence commission charge
• Deposit of £10:00 or more: No commission charge
This commission is charged by
us in order to cover the commissions applied
for processing your transaction with Worldpay
and Our administration charges.
Remember to refresh your browser to confirm your current
credit.
You can only cash out money from
your Bar4fun Account when
you have £7.50
or over of available credit
in that account. If you have
less
than this,
then your funds will continue
to be held securely until you do.
To cash out go to “My Credit” in the bottle on the Bar4fun
Home Page and follow the online instructions to make a “Cash
Out 2 Me” from your Bar4fun Account.
Note that a 2% commission charge
is made on all "Cash
Out 2 Me" transactions.

my Bar4fun Account. Once you have submitted a “Cash
Out 2 Me” request you will receive a “You’ve
got cash” e-mail from
PayPal within 28 days. If you are not already
a PayPal member then you will need to click on
the PayPal link in the e-mail
from PayPal & sign up to become a member.
You must be a PayPal member to receive your cash.
It takes minutes, is
free and is a one off process. Once you are a
PayPal member, your bank account can then be
credited in a safe & secure
environment.
Funds are paid out via the e-mail address you have registered
with Bar4fun and which remains completely confidential from
all other Bar4fun Users. This is why it is essential that
you update Your Account details of any changes to your email
address (see the Bar4fun Privacy Policy for details) and
that you ensure that the email address that you register
with PayPal is the same as the one registered with Bar4fun.
No problem! Bar4fun accepts deposits
in Sterling (£), U.S
Dollars ($) & Euros (€).
If you submit a cash out request you
will receive payments from your Bar4fun
Account
to your
PayPal account in
Pounds Sterling as that’s the currency
we use. This amount can either remain
in Pounds
Sterling
on your
PayPal Account
or it can
be converted to U.S. Dollars, Canadian
Dollars, Euros, and Yen. You can then
credit your
bank account linked
to your
PayPal Account in the currency you desire.

You can do so at any time by using

an e-mail. We will then remove your details
from the Bar4fun
website.
If you
do so however, then you must make sure
that
you have first removed all funds from
your Bar4fun
Account
since Bar4fun
will not make any payments to you from
that account once you have chosen to
terminate it.
Contact other Bar4fun Users by e-mail! You can send as many
e-mails as you want so start typing!
You can store up to 20 new messages in your Bar4fun inbox
at any time. Any messages not read within 40 days will be
deleted.
You can archive up to 20 of your
favourite messages.
These will displayed in your
archive section of “My Messages” which
can be found on the Bar4fun bottle.
Your 10 most recent sent messages
will be displayed.
These will displayed in your
sent message section of “My Messages” which
can be found on the bottle.
If you have a Bar4fun friend or noticed someone you like,
then make them a buddy! It will make it easier for you to
contact them and to know when they too are online.
Keep up to 20 buddies in your buddy list.
When you log onto Bar4fun, your buddies
who are also online can be seen by clicking
on “your buddies online” icon.
This makes it easier for you to contact
your favourite Bar4fun
buddies who are also online. Remember
you can always delete a buddy from your
list
if you
choose to
do so.
Make yourself stand out at the bar with a picture! We strongly
encourage you to put a picture of yourself in your Bar4fun
profile which all other Users can see. This will help your
chances of being contacted!
You can store up to 4 pictures and they will be displayed
on your Bar4fun profile. If you have more than one picture
you will need to select your favourite or default picture
which other Users will see first.
To add a picture click “My profile” in the bottle and then
click “Edit my pictures”. Select “Add picture” and
follow the online instructions. You can
even browse your computer
to find your picture file. Why not add
a short note to your picture in the space
provided
too! Once you
are
happy click
to upload your picture!
You can upload any picture so long
as you abide by our
Terms & Conditions
of use. We want to keep this site clean & friendly
and we have complete authority to delete
a picture immediately if we deem it to
be offensive
to
other Bar4fun Users.
A User
will face being barred if they persist
in uploading material which Bar4fun finds
offensive.
So
please no vulgar or
indecent photos and no photos which may
have the effect of being
harassing, threatening, abusive or hateful.
Any degrading or intimidating
photo of an individual or group of individuals
on the basis of religion, gender, sexual
orientation, race,
ethnicity,
age or disability will also be deleted.
Just use your common sense you know what
we mean!
Yes. You can block any Bar4fun
member from contacting
you via your Bar4fun
instant messenger
or through e-mail by clicking on "Block User". To
see a list of your blocked Bar4fun Users please go to "My
Profile" in the bottle and then
click on blocked Users. Once a user has
been
blocked they
cannot
contact you again, so think before you
block!
Although we respect the privacy of communications between
Bar4fun Users we do reserve the right to intercept and monitor
communications in order to ascertain compliance with the
Bar4fun Terms and Conditions and with the law.
We do not tolerate abusive behaviour or misuse of the Bar4fun
Service. Where we become aware of misuse by a Bar4fun User
Bar4fun reserves the right to suspend or even terminate their
access to Bar4fun. For more details, please see the Bar4fun
